Package Itinerary

Day 01: Bhuj- Mandvi (55 kilometres)

Upon arrival at Bhuj airport/railway station, get transferred to Mandvi and check-in to the incredible Beach Camp at Mandvi Palace. The Beach at Mandvi Palace has been rated by most visitors to Gujarat as the state's finest beach resort. Enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 02: Mandvi

Enjoy the day leisurely at The Beach at Mandvi Palace or head out to the town, just a few minutes away by road, and enjoy some excellent local shopping. An exclusive barbeque dinner can also be organised at additional cost.

Have delicious dinner and spend a comfortable overnight stay at the camp.

Day 03: Mandvi to Kutch-Banni Region

Continue your offbeat holiday in Gujarat by visiting a lesser known village of the Kutch region- Hodka and stay in rustic setting of the Shaan-E-Sarhad Camp Resort on the edge of the Great Rann of Kutch.

Day 04: Hodka Village (Rann of Kutch) - Bhuj

After breakfast, get transferred to the Bhuj airport/railway station for your onward journey.

Destination Details

Mandvi

Mandvi is located on the banks of the Rukmavati river, only one km away from the Arabian Sea at the Gulf of Kutch. Mandvi lies to the southwest from the city of Bhuj and was established in 1581 AD by the Rao Khengarji, the first Jadeja ruler of Kutch. Mandvi was a originally a fortified town having a fort wall of about 8 m high and 1.2 wide stone masonry. It was also a 400 years old shipbuilding center. Mandvi is a busy little place with a shipbuilding yard where hundreds of men construct, by hand, wooden beauties for faraway Arab merchants.

Kutch

Kutch literally means something which intermittently becomes wet and dry; a large part of this district is known as Rann of Kutch which is shallow wetland which submerges in water during the rainy season and becomes dry during other seasons. The same word is also used in the languages of Sanskrit origin for a tortoise. The Rann is famous for its marshy salt flats which become snow white after the shallow water dries up each season before the monsoon rains.
