Udaipur, the city of lakes is located in the Aravallis range of Rajasthan. Udaipur is situated at an altitude of 577 meters above sea level and surrounded by ancient Aravali mountains. Udaipur is also known as "city of palaces". The lake side was built on a small wooded plain encircled by mountains. Hindi, Rajasthani, Marwari and English are the common languages which are spoken in Udaipur.
