Jaipur popularly known as Pink City is the capital Rajasthan state (India). It was founded on 18 November, 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. Jaipur is one of the first planned cities in the country and is located in the desert lands of Rajasthan. Jaipur is a very famous tourist destination in the world, attracting a lot of tourists from various countries and continents.
Pushkar is a sacred town for the Hindus, situated 11 kms to the North-West of Ajmer. The charm of this sleepy, lakeside settlement so captivated the great Indian poet, Kalidas, that it found a place in his classic, Abhigyan Sakuntalam. The Great Hindu epics of Mahabharat and Ramayana make references to this religious place regarded to be Adi Tiratha. Evidence points to its having existed since the Fourth century B.C. Lake in the inhospitable surroundings of a desert is no less than a miracle.
Udaipur, the city of lakes is located in the Aravallis range of Rajasthan. Udaipur is situated at an altitude of 577 meters above sea level and surrounded by ancient Aravali mountains. Udaipur is also known as "city of palaces". The lake side was built on a small wooded plain encircled by mountains. Hindi, Rajasthani, Marwari and English are the common languages which are spoken in Udaipur.
