Mahabalipuram also known as Mamallapuram is as old as the Pallava dynasty in the 7th-9th century in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, India. An erstwhile port of the Pallava dynasty the place abounds with stone carvings, caves, rock cut temples also attract tourists. Rameshwaram is one of the four dhams of Bharat. The other three are Badrinath, Jagannathpuri and Dwarka. The mandir has one of the 12 Jyotirlings consecrated by Shri Ramchandra Bhagwan after bathing in the sea and offering pujan to the nine grahs(planets).
Kanyakumari is a district which located in Kerala state to the west and Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu to the north and east.
